Team, Canada is our friend. As Ohioans, we are neighbors. Our economic ties - embodied by the new Gordie Howe Bridge nearing completion in Detroit - underscore Northern Ohio’s importance as a manufacturing and transportation hub, signifying high-wage jobs and economic security. Here in Toledo, we don't start fights with our friends. And we certainly don't do it to try to score political points. 

The indiscriminate tariffs this administration has threatened will hurt workers in Ohio and raise costs for everyday families across the country. This action is uncalled for, avoidable, and like many of Trump's actions — something that everyday Americans will foot the bill for. It's unacceptable.

We must re-take the House in 2026 so we can get back to work on legislation that helps all Ohio families. We're already laying the groundwork to win here in this crucial battleground district. Will you join us, friend?
