Looking back on our campaign, I couldn't be more proud of the race we ran together. With your support, we shone a spotlight on the most vulnerable Americans and put people — not politics or special interests — first. I couldn't have done it without you.

That's why I'm proud to share with you the launch of People First Future, a new organization that will elect bold, progressive candidates whose campaigns are putting people first.

Can I count with your support to build a People First Future?

This is a difficult time for so many Americans. Millions have lost loved ones or gotten sick, and many more have lost their jobs, their health care, their housing, or their financial security.

The coronavirus has highlighted the deepest gaps in our social safety net and shown us just how many Americans are one missed paycheck away from poverty. That's why it's never been more important to elect leaders who are focused on helping people.

More than ever, we need to elect leaders in our statehouses, school boards, governor's offices, and in Congress who will fight for hardworking families trying to get by and for those people who need them most.

People First Future will do just that. We will invest in a new generation of bold, progressive leaders whose campaigns aren't powered by big donors, party politics, or special interests — but instead by the people they hope to serve.

Candidates like Candace Valenzuela in Texas's 24th district, who overcame homelessness to become an educator and champion for her community. Or Lauren Underwood in Illinois's 14th District, a registered nurse who is fighting for affordable, accessible health care for every American. Or Lucy McBath in Georgia's 6th district, who after losing her son to gun violence, dedicated herself to fighting for common sense gun safety legislation.

These are the kinds of leaders we need fighting for us, especially as our nation recovers from an unprecedented crisis. But they need your help.
