As the Trump administration ramps up their cruel and chaotic mass deportation plans, Pramila is doing everything she can to stand up for immigrant communities.
That’s why she just introduced the Access to Counsel Act in the House of Representatives to ensure those with legal status who are detained at ports of entry can consult with an attorney to seek assistance.
We remember what Trump’s first term was like — his Muslim ban stripped basic civil rights for reasons ranging from the color of a person’s skin to the country of their origin.
So as Trump’s attacks on immigrants continue to ramp up, it’s critical that we build support for a humane approach to immigration reform instead.
