 Hi there — it’s Janelle, here. It’s been just over one month since I was sworn in as the Congresswoman from Oregon’s 5th District, so I wanted to reach out personally and give you a quick update on everything that’s been happening here in DC.  I’ve built out an incredible Congressional team on the ground in DC and at home in Oregon (hello to any of my staffers reading this 👋). I’ve taken my first votes and attended my first Financial Services Committee hearings. I’ve met with dozens of constituents and talked through how we can build a brighter future for our kids back home -- from lowering costs, to creating jobs, to investing in education, to safeguarding reproductive freedom, and more. And I’ve dealt with a whole lot of Republican nonsense. A lot of nonsense. Look, if the last month (and especially the last two weeks of the Trump Administration) has made anything clear, it’s that we have a long road ahead with a lot of work to do. Rest assured, I’m not pumping the brakes anytime soon. I’m fighting hard to deliver every possible win for our community, but I’ll need you in this fight with me.
