Meet Russell Vought — the mastermind of Project 2025 and Trump’s extremist
nominee to head the Budget Office. Vought is INCREDIBLY dangerous and

holding up business to slow Vought's nomination as much as possible. But

Bernie has made it clear – we must take action to stop Trump’s architect
for the Oligarchy. Vought is on a mission to gut lifesaving government
programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and Meals on Wheels in order to slash
the budget and hand massive tax breaks to Elon Musk and other
billionaires. And we know he won’t stop there – he’s tried before to cut
Social Security and will no doubt try again.
This week, the Senate will also vote on Kash Patel for FBI Director, who
has vowed his loyalty to Trump and Trump only and who is ready to
persecute ALL of his political enemies. It’s all part of Trump’s plan to
fill our government with corrupt, dangerous loyalists, yet some Democrats
are giving legitimacy to Trump’s agenda by actually voting FOR his
nominees.
Enough. Democrats must stand firm against all of Trump’s nominees –
showing a unified and strong front is crucial in this moment.
The Senate votes on Vought and Patel are TOMORROW. Our Citizen Action Team
is working around the clock, making calls to the Senate and
hand-delivering our message to Capitol Hill to build the kind of political
pressure that can push Senators on BOTH sides of the aisle to vote ‘No’.
With a tiny majority, just a few Republicans willing to stand up is enough
to sink these nominations – and some are already wavering — so we need to
push them NOW.
