This past week, I introduced a new bill to move federal agencies out of Washington D.C. and into local communities around the country. This would put our government closer to the people and allow Americans from all walks of life to serve our country.
Look, John: No one knows better than fishermen what it takes to make a living on the water, or the threats that new regulations can pose to their livelihoods.
Having these government agencies closer to the people will give us a larger voice on the policy decisions they are making every day. Plus, it will bring good-paying jobs out of the beltway and into our communities.
