John, I’m going to get a bit personal.
As you may know, I’m an immigrant from Mexico. I came to the United States for an education, and I stayed because of all of the opportunities.
And John, there’s millions of people like me who have pursued a legal path to citizenship, but now live in constant fear of threats from the Trump Administration.
Trump took office just about two weeks ago, and we’ve already seen immigration officials questioning and detaining both legal immigrants and U.S. citizens in their mass deportation efforts.
Frankly, these attacks on immigrants are disgusting and a display of Trump’s fascism.
Just by sending this email, I’m putting myself at risk by speaking out, but the truth is, I refuse to be silent in a time like this.
These next four years are going to be really difficult and long, but I’m ready to fight like hell.
I’m doing my part to put an end to this BS, John. I’m working to register Gen Z voters, to make sure we have elected officials who will resist this extremism.
