Salaams John,
In these unprecedented times, our commitment to justice, equity, and the protection of fundamental freedoms remains steadfast.
While the Trump Administration claims it will “take over” and “own” Gaza, we stand firmly against any effort to displace or erase the Palestinian people. We reject all forms of ethnic cleansing and remain committed to upholding the rights of the Palestinians to remain on their land. This proposal is a violation of the principle of self-determination and international law.
The forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians are clear violations of international law, including the Fourth Geneva Convention, which prohibits the transfer or expulsion of protected populations from their land. These actions not only deepen the humanitarian crisis but also undermine any path toward true peace and security.
We categorically reject these violations and call on the U.S. government and international community to uphold Palestinian human rights and ensure that sovereignty and self-determination remain at the center of any future resolution.
No one should face the threat of being forcibly removed from their home, whether in the U.S. or in the Holy Land. Palestinians, like all people, have the right to live securely in their communities without fear of displacement. The concept of property rights is a fundamental principle, yet it is being disregarded in these forced expulsions. Instead of enabling territorial expansion abroad, the U.S. should prioritize pressing domestic challenges that impact American families. Additionally, escalating tensions in the region only lead to greater instability, which runs counter to long-term security interests.
The future of Gaza must be determined by the Palestinian people, not through foreign occupation or imposed redevelopment plans. Any true path to peace requires centering Palestinian rights, addressing the humanitarian crisis, and ensuring a just and lasting security.
