Friend, the far-right has been emboldened and out of control in the weeks since Trump took office.

And I’m not just talking about a few people on the fringe. The entire Republican party has dove head first into Trump and Elon Musk’s ultra-conservative, anti-immigrant, authoritarian rule.

Just look at what a fellow member of Congress said to me:

Reprehensible, racist, and un-American. Threatening to deport legal US citizens because you disagree with them is fascism. Full stop. But I expect nothing less from the GOP under Trump and Musk.

And look at what they are doing to our federal government. Musk is slashing crucial agencies and programs without a care in the world or the legal authority to do so. They’re working to hinder the core functions of our government so they can line the pockets of their billionaire friends. It’s like the Koch Brothers’ wildest dreams finally coming true.

Or just look at what Elon Musk has done to Twitter. A platform that was once the best place to follow breaking news is now completely taken over by white nationalists and right-wing extremists.

Read Musk’s tweets for only a few minutes, and you will find him engaging with open neo-nazis and white nationalists, or spreading racist conspiracy theories about immigrants or his native country of South Africa.

This is the man the GOP has elevated to be their unelected, all-powerful co-president with Donald Trump. And we better believe he is bringing the same racist and unintelligent ideas he espouses on Twitter to his takeover of our government.

Friend — Our best response to the far-right in this moment is to organize all of our people, all our resources, all of the tools we have at our disposal, to be a thorn in the side of Trump’s administration.
