Institute Applications Close Monday, February 17

Engage with constitutional scholars and educators from around the country during a weeklong institute at the National Constitution Center in summer 2025.

During each institute, educators work with content experts to deepen their knowledge of the history and contemporary relevance of the Constitution, the structural Constitution, and the amendment process.

There are four institutes this summer:

🎥 In this institute, participants will view curriculum-aligned video clips from The American Revolution—a forthcoming film by Ken Burns, Sarah Botstein, and David Schmidt premiering on PBS in fall 2025—and discuss how to introduce new ideas and perspectives, ask thought-provoking questions, and challenge your students to share their understanding through a range of extension activities.

Applications will close on Monday, February 17. Notification regarding application status will be sent no later than Friday, March 28. The Center is able to provide a stipend of up to $1,300 to be put toward the cost of travel and lodging. There will also be an opening and closing night dinners, and two lunches provided over the course of the week.
