Yesterday, our endorsed leaders stepped up, John.

Reps. Maxwell Frost, Jasmine Crockett, and Sydney Kamlager-Dove — leaders proudly endorsed by the Jane Fonda Climate PAC — joined hundreds of protestors outside the Treasury Department to demand answers and reject Elon Musk’s hostile takeover of our government.

We couldn’t be more proud of them.

Musk has no business inside our federal payment systems. None. And yet, Donald Trump gave his handpicked team access to sensitive financial data that impacts all of us. Social Security payments. Medicare reimbursements. Tax refunds. Trillions of dollars in government transactions are now within reach of one of the most reckless and corrupt men on the planet.

And what are most members of Congress doing about it?

Too many are sitting idly by, hoping this all just blows over. Hoping that if they talk about “bipartisanship” enough, Trump and Musk will just… stop?

No. That’s not how this works.

The only way out of this crisis is to fight like hell. To demand that every member of Congress use every tool they have to shut this down. No more business as usual. No more waiting for Trump to “screw up.” We don’t have time for that.

Yesterday’s protest showed us the kind of leadership we need — fierce, unapologetic, relentless. We need more of it. A lot more.

We are all in — backing leaders who show up and refuse to let billionaires buy our democracy. But we need you in this fight, too.
