Folks, in the shuffle of the dozens of executive orders signed by Donald Trump during his first weeks as president was the following: This order is a deep blow to all Americans. The infrastructure law funds projects across New Mexico to improve water security, wildfire safety, road construction, wildlife crossings, and so much more. With the stroke of a pen, Donald Trump paused these projects — harming families, eliminating jobs, and hurting our economy. If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: Trump is eliminating funding for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law because he’s upset that it was signed by President Biden. He would rather cut millions of dollars in vital funding than see our country succeed under bipartisan leadership. It’s the behavior of a sore loser. I will work to get that funding back — for oil and gas well clean-up, for road safety in Gallup and McKinley County, and for the Eastern New Mexico Rural Water Project.
When we use our collective voices, we can fight the attempts of the Trump Administration to roll back our progress. Thank you, Martin |
