We’re living in scary times. Over the weekend, information about thousands
of FBI agents who were assigned to work on investigations related to the
January 6 insurrection was compiled for personnel review. This comes after
senior officials were asked to resign. Donald Trump’s mission to seek
vengeance on public servants who investigated the insurrection is illegal,
immoral, and terrifying.

[ [link removed] ]Kash Patel, nominee for Director of the FBI, must speak to the
importance of protecting the FBI from this kind of overreach from Trump!
Call Chairman Grassley to demand that he hold more hearings for Patel to
testify on this topic! >>

Kash Patel’s hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee left many
unanswered questions. The process of vetting a nominee for service in the
federal government should be extremely thorough and not rushed. The
American people deserve answers on ALL topics that are relevant to Patel’s
potential duties if he were to be confirmed as Director of the FBI.

Patel must answer for what he is going to do to protect thousands of FBI
employees from retribution for doing their jobs in investigating Trump’s
and others’ roles in the January 6th insurrection. The FBI must be
independent from Trump, and that includes defending their work to
investigate January 6.

In addition to the new information about FBI firings, recent reporting
revealed that Kash Patel represented Qatari interests as a lobbyist but
did not register as a foreign agent – information previously withheld from
the Judiciary Committee! This raises questions about his loyalty and
adherence to the law. He must answer for this.

Patel also failed to answer questions about his testimony on Donald
Trump’s mishandling of classified documents, claiming that he was legally
prohibited from discussing the case. This is FALSE, and answers about his
testimony will speak to his relationship with President Trump and his
ability to serve impartially.

demand additional hearings on Patel—there’s more to the story and we
