At Parkinson Canada, your experiences, stories, and voices are at the heart of everything we do. That's why we're excited to share a first look at our bold new Strategic Plan for 20252030, "Limitless":[link removed]
We know Parkinson's is more than a diagnosis. It's a journey that touches every aspect of life--impacting not just individuals but families, friends, and communities. Today, over 110,000 people live with Parkinson's in Canada, and this number is expected to rise to 150,000 by 2034. Far too many face barriers to timely diagnoses, access to care, and the support needed to live well.
Our new plan, "Limitless," is rooted in the courage, resilience, and determination of the Parkinson's community. It reflects a shared vision for a future where no one feels defined--or limited--by Parkinson's.
Here's what we aim to achieve together:
Our vision: A world where no one is limited by Parkinson's.
Our mission: To empower and inspire people living with Parkinson's and their care partners to thrive and live courageously.
Our priorities:
Making care more accessible, seamless, and equitable for everyone.
Raising the profile of Parkinson's to drive understanding, awareness, and impactful change.
Building partnerships to accelerate innovation in care and research.
This plan was shaped with your voices in mind. By listening to your experiences, we're building a future that reflects the real challenges and aspirations of those living with Parkinson's and their care partners.
As we move forward, we're more committed than ever to standing with you. Together, we can create a future where everyone impacted by Parkinson's can live life with joy, courage, and purpose.
We'll be sharing more details in the coming months and look forward to hearing your thoughts. Thank you for being an essential part of our journey.
