Folks, as you saw this week, we locked our final goal for the rest of May, which has us bringing in about a million dollars a day online.

It's a lot of money, I know that. But honest to goodness, hitting this goal is necessary. It's how we'll grow this campaign in unprecedented times, and it's how we'll catch up to Trump's fundraising head start.

He has a big lead, but we make that gap smaller every month. If we hit this goal on Sunday, we'll be even closer. Read this note my team sent about setting this new goal and chip in to make sure we get enough donations to stay on track each day:

Vice President and Leadership team,

As you know, our online grassroots supporters are the lifeblood of this campaign and make up the bulk of our fundraising. This month is no exception.

I talked to the rest of the finance team, and I feel confident we can raise $6 million more online in the last six days, but it will be challenging. We will keep emailing updates on the goal to our best supporters in hopes that we can keep pace each day by about $1 million per day.

We fell about $100,000 short of our last goal, but if we can hit this goal in full, it will make up for that and we'll be able to stay on pace for the month.

I know a lot of our summer expansion budget depends on us hitting this goal, and with the help of our online grassroots team, we will work on delivering this $6 million and green lighting this budget.

If the VP could reach out to our best supporters on Thursday morning, like [email protected], I think that would be a huge asset in inspiring them to make their first donation.
