The single fastest way to increase our national deportation numbers from the current total of 1,000 deportations a day, to a number of 3,000 – 5,000 or more a day, is Republican states IMMEDIATELY passing this law that Governor Ron DeSantis has been pushing:
➡️ Legally requiring ALL state and local law enforcement agencies to participate in the 287(g) program, which allows ICE to partner with state and local law enforcement partners.
Right now, there exists no affirmative duty for state or local law enforcement to participate in the federal deportation program.
If we pass a law requiring maximum participation (and quantifying it), deportation numbers will skyrocket 3x almost immediately.
