Dear John,
You may have seen our recent email asking for support for our Ethiopia Earthquake Emergency Appeal [[link removed]]. We've launched this appeal in response to the devastation and danger facing tens of thousands of people across northeast Ethiopia as a series of earthquakes continues to impact the region.
This underreported crisis has caused extensive damage to buildings, farmland and key infrastructure over recent months.
Many families have lost the crops and livestock that they depend on for a living and for sustenance. Others have moved their livestock away from the worst affected areas, making it harder to access these sources of food.
Please give whatever you can - £15 could provide food for a child for a month! [[link removed]]

With over 50,000 people displaced many families are having difficulty securing sufficient food and supplies. While safety is their most immediate concern, our teams in the region are particularly keen to address the risks arising from food insecurity.
Therefore, our approach is twofold: we are securing food supplies to protect people's health and, where possible, investing in sustainable resources, like livestock, that help families rebuild their lives with a stable source of income and access to nutrition.
£35 could buy a goat to provide milk and a source of income for a displaced family! [[link removed]]
Whatever you can contribute to this urgent appeal will help our teams in northeast Ethiopia provide vital support to people at this critical time. On behalf of the communities we are working with, we're truly grateful for your generous support.
Warm regards,
Siaffa Bunduka,
Supporter Engagement Manager
