In just a minute, I'm going to ask you to make a contribution to support my campaign. I hope you'll give me a chance to explain why this request -- especially today -- is so important.

A right-wing dark money group recently spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to oppose vote-by-mail. It's outrageous -- so my team launched our Vote-By-Mail Emergency Drive to fight back.

And we set a very ambitious goal of raising $250,000 before the end of May so we have the resources we need to fight back and make sure every single Mainer can cast a ballot in this election.

So here comes the part where I ask:

John, our campaign is up in the polls. Republicans know that if every Mainer is able to cast a ballot, they will lose this seat and potentially their Senate majority as well.
