We’re facing a direct attack on our democracy. President Trump has surrendered control of our government to the richest man in the world, Elon Musk.

Let me be absolutely clear: an unelected billionaire, much less the richest man in the world, should NOT have the power to manipulate the system for his personal gain.

The president has now allowed Elon Musk UNILATERAL access to Treasury payments for Social Security, Medicare, and so much more – all to line his own pockets. This is an unprecedented constitutional crisis, and Congress can’t sit idly by as our democratic institutions and public funds are decimated by a couple of billionaires.

I’m using every lever I can access to stop this. Now, I’m calling on the few Republicans left who care about the rule of law, democracy, and Congress’s oversight authority to join Democrats in opposing this constitutional overreach.
