Dear A.,

This afternoon, President Donald Trump met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and signed several pro-Israel executive orders.

The first executive order ends the United States' engagement with the United Nations Human Rights Council, notorious for its extreme anti-Israel bias.

The second prohibits U.S. funding for UNRWA, the U.N. agency whose employees participated in the October 7 attacks.

Lastly, he ordered the re-imposition of "maximum pressure" on Iran. "Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon," he said, while warning that "they're pretty close."

In their joint press conference prior to their meeting, President Trump said, "It was a horrible day, October 7th... a lot of people like to pretend it didn't happen. It happened."

This is Trump's first meeting with a foreign leader since taking office for his second term.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu added, "I support getting all the hostages out and meeting all our war goals. That includes destroying Hamas' military and governing capabilities and making sure that Gaza never poses a threat to Israel again... I think the president can help enormously."

Iran is developing plans to quickly build a nuclear weapon

American officials

believe that a secret team of Iranian scientists is working on a faster pathway to create a nuclear weapon, should the regime's leaders decide to race for a bomb.

If the Iranians succeed, they could turn their growing stockpile of enriched uranium fuel into a workable weapon in a matter of months, rather than a

year or more, according to U.S. intelligence. Iran currently has enough 60%-enriched uranium to build four nuclear bombs, if the uranium is enriched further.

The Iranian team is working on a way to produce a less-sophisticated nuclear weapon, that would be too large to fit on a ballistic missile.

But Iran could quickly build and test such a weapon, crossing the nuclear threshold, which could deter action against the regime.

The United States must increase the pressure on Iran, including by fully enforcing economic sanctions, to ensure the regime is never allowed to acquire a nuclear weapon.

Palestinian terror attack in the West Bank kills two Israelis

A Palestinian terrorist

killed two soldiers and wounded eight more after infiltrating an army checkpoint in the northern West Bank this morning.

The two soldiers killed were named by the Israel Defense Forces as Sgt. Maj. Ofer Yung, 39, and Sgt. Maj. Avraham Tzvi Tzvika Friedman, 43.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi said, "This is a difficult attack in which we lost two reserve soldiers. We will investigate and learn lessons, some of them have already been implemented. We will increase the operations to thwart [attacks], and expand them to additional areas."

Israel launched a counterterror operation in the West Bank, called Operation Iron Wall, on January 21 to counter the growing Iranian-backed terror threat there.

Meanwhile, the IDF today

announced that there were more than 18,000 terror attacks against Israelis in 2024.

IDF troops continue to dismantle Hezbollah's terror infrastructure in Lebanon

Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon continued to

dismantle Hezbollah's terror infrastructure yesterday, ahead of an expected withdrawal from Lebanon later this month.

The IDF located multiple weapons storage facilities containing significant stockpiles of military equipment and eliminated several Hezbollah terrorists in the area.

The presence of Hezbollah weapons and operatives in southern Lebanon is a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, which Hezbollah has been violating consistently.

The United States must increase the pressure on Lebanon and Hezbollah to fully comply with the terms of the ceasefire.
