URGENT: The key ingredient in Roundup is linked to Alzheimer’s symptoms

Should the U.S. BAN glyphosate?

Friend,

A new study has uncovered alarming evidence that glyphosate – the world’s most widely used weedkiller – could have long-lasting, harmful effects on the brain.

Glyphosate is infamous as the active ingredient in Bayer-Monsanto’s Roundup. It’s used so extensively worldwide that it’s considered nearly ubiquitous – in 2022, over 80% of urine samples from U.S. children and adults tested positive for it.

As disturbing evidence continues to mount, EWG is shaping our response. Will you take a short survey to add your voice?

In a new study, the brains of lab mice exposed to glyphosate became badly inflamed – a condition associated with nerve-damaging diseases such as Alzheimer’s.

* The chemical harmed the mice even at a low dose – close to the limit used to set acceptable guidelines for humans.
* In the mice, glyphosate exposure led to "accelerated Alzheimer’s disease-like pathology," "subsequent anxiety-like behaviors" and premature death.
* A toxic byproduct of glyphosate was found building up in the mice’s brain tissue, raising serious concerns about its long-term effects on humans.

We believe it’s long past time for the government to act to protect Americans from the harmful impact of glyphosate. We’re hoping at least 2,500 EWG supporters can help guide our approach by offering input in a short survey.

Should the U.S. BAN glyphosate?
