John — there’s an important question on our minds that will inform Josh’s work for North Carolina, and we need your input:
Do you think our state is headed in the right direction? Before answering, read on:
For the last couple of years, Republicans had a legislative supermajority in Raleigh and full control over policies directly affecting North Carolina communities. The first thing they did when they gained that supermajority was to pass a dangerous abortion ban.
Among their other priorities, the GOP has also sought to redirect taxpayer funds away from public schools to private and charter schools. And in the final days before losing their supermajority, Republicans passed a power-grabbing law to strip the governor’s office of key capabilities — all in the guise of disaster relief aid.
When you consider the GOP’s policy initiatives from recent years, do you think they have helped NC move in the right direction? Let us know below 👇
John, Josh and his Democratic partners are working hard to achieve real progress on the issues that impact North Carolinians day to day, but we need Republican lawmakers to join with us. We have a mandate for our Democratic agenda, and your ongoing support helps show EVERYONE that the people are with us.
Thank you for your input today,
Team Stein
