Brad Lander for NYC Mayor

John,

New Yorkers successfully implemented congestion pricing before Trump took office.

And the numbers plainly show it’s working – traffic is down, public transportation is more consistent, and commutes are shorter. Working families and New Yorkers everywhere are reaping the rewards of congestion pricing.

But now, Donald Trump is trying to force New Yorkers to have dirtier air, more traffic, and crappier subways.

NYT: 'Trump Administration Considers Halting Congestion Pricing

Let’s be clear, John: New York is NOT going to pump the brakes on congestion pricing now.

17 years after it was first introduced, I led the fight to finally implement congestion pricing. And when I'm Mayor, I'll finish the fight for a 34th Street busway, too.

Leadership is about doing what's right even if it’s not politically convenient. I’ll continue to stand up for congestion pricing no matter what Donald Trump tries to do.

John, please consider chipping in $2.90 – the cost of one subway ride – to my campaign for Mayor, where I’ll be a transit champion for all New Yorkers.
