** From the Kitchen Tables of Jenn and Paige
------------------------------------------------------------

As we all try to understand our rapidly evolving education environment during the COVID-19 crisis and the uncertainty that surrounds it, the Data Quality Campaign is working to elevate what's happening – whether it's concrete examples of what's working in states and districts, ideas and proposals from the field, or things our organization and others are exploring. That's why DQC President and CEO Jennifer Bell-Ellwanger and Executive Vice President Paige Kowalski are sharing their thoughts each week on the most salient conversations happening on navigating education during the pandemic and future recovery efforts.

In case you've missed it, read Jenn and Paige's weekly column below – and check the DQC blog ([link removed]) each Monday for the latest column.
* In their latest column on May 25 ([link removed]) , Jenn and Paige discuss data systems, data sharing, privacy, transparency, and the gap between evidence and policy.
* On May 18 ([link removed]) they share their thoughts on transparency, measuring student progress, the emerging consensus among leaders, education research, and student voice.
* May 11 ([link removed]) brought thoughts on data implications for paths forward, the need for new measures and an investment in data system infrastructure to support their development, what data to expect this year, and data linkages.
* In Jenn and Paige's first column on May 4 ([link removed]) , they discuss early learning data, federal funding opportunities for data use, transparency, the need for new measures, and getting research into the hands of practitioners.
