There’s a war criminal in the White House — and, no, we’re not just talking about Donald Trump. Today, Trump welcomed one of the only other world leaders who’s actually worse than Trump is: Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently wanted by the International Criminal Court for “the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.”

When Trump landed in Washington, DC on Sunday night, our message to any American officials who met with him was clear: You’re complicit in crimes against humanity. Netanyahu is a man actively wanted for war crimes and by welcoming him to the United States, our leaders, including members of the House Progressive Caucus, are aiding and abetting his atrocities.

When Trump landed in the US, the proper response would have been to arrest him and haul his ass off to the Hague, not give him a round of applause and welcome him into the White House.

Even though the official invitation came from Donald Trump, some progressive leaders are complicit in Netanyahu’s warm welcome and have said more with their silence than words possibly could.

The overwhelming majority of House Progressive Caucus members haven’t condemned Trump for hosting Netanyahu at the White House. Worse, dozens have taken money from AIPAC. We need contributions from grassroots donors like you to clean up the Progressive Caucus. Can you donate $10 or whatever you can spare to help us make the Congressional Progressive Caucus truly representative of progressive values?

The next four years of the Trump administration will only embolden war criminals like Netanyahu unless we act fast to make sure there’s real progressive opposition to his and Trump’s egregious actions.
