Team — With Elon Musk moving ahead with a radical and illegal takeover of the federal government under Trump’s watch, it’s time for Democrats to use everything we’ve got to stop their agenda.
This week we have seen exactly what unlimited power for an unelected billionaire oligarch looks like.
Just look at USAID, a federal agency with congressional approval and a multi-billion dollar budget. Elon Musk shut it down for no real rhyme or reason, completely flouting the rule of law and our constitution.
Now, every federal agency or program has the potential to meet the same fate. Whether that’s Medicaid, the Department of Education, or thousands of other crucial functions of our federal government. Trump and Musk want to bring our government to a screeching halt so they can lower their tax bills and line their pockets.
The only remedy to this disastrous situation is for Congress to exercise its constitutional duty to put a check on this extreme abuse of power. That’s why we are calling on the Senate to stand up and fight back.
The time has come to do everything we can to oppose this descent into fascism. Elon Musk has to be stopped.
