Transit Equity Day honors the legacy of Rosa Parks, whose contributions to the civil rights movement continue to inspire fair and accessible transit for all. Public transit is more than just a way to get from point A to point B—it connects people to jobs, education, healthcare, and opportunity. In our latest blog post, we share real stories from Voices for Public Transit members about how public transportation helps drive equity in their day-to-day lives—whether that’s connecting them to jobs or to their community. No matter how you use public transportation—or how often—its impact is far-reaching. As Voices for Public Transit, we understand the power of public transit in making society more equitable. Today, and every day, we must raise our voices in support of public transportation and its role as a positive force driving equity forward.
