All these stories are real examples of what happens when guns are brought into schools
Dear John,
A custodian points a gun at several students he thinks are misbehaving. An elementary school student finds a gun that was left in a bathroom. Bullet fragments lodge in a high schooler’s neck when his teacher’s gun accidentally fires.
All these stories are real examples of what has happened when guns were brought into schools. People across the state have said no to this policy over and over, yet Wisconsin legislators are once again introducing a dangerous bill that would result in armed school employees.
There is zero evidence that arming teachers prevents or stops mass shootings. Instead, it increases the risk of accidental shootings and puts guns within reach of students.
