Spring turkey permits available for residents
Nebraska residents, now is the time to be planning for the spring turkey season and the fun of calling in gobblers all across the state.
Resident turkey permits are currently available [ [link removed] ]. (Non-resident permits have sold out.) The spring archery season opens March 25, youth shotgun April 5, and the regular shotgun April 12. Mark your calendar and make your plans today.

Super Tag, other lotteries offer unique opportunity
This could be your year! Win a once-in-a-lifetime hunting package through Nebraska's multispecies lotteries.
The Super Tag permit includes tags for elk, deer, antelope and turkey and is good for two years. There is a Nebraska resident lottery, and another Super Tag lottery that is open to both residents and nonresidents, which allows multiple entries. Other multispecies lottery options are also available.

Elk auction permits planned
Each year, some of our partner conservation organizations auction off a limited number of special permits that include elk or or multiple species opportunities. These auctions help fund conservation projects in Nebraska and are open to interested hunters.
This includes the Nebraska Big Game Society's meeting on March 6 [ [link removed] ], where they will auction a bull elk permit. Find details on this event and other auction opportunities on our website.

Light Goose Conservation Order begins Feb. 10
The spectacle of a swirling, barking mass of a large flock of light geese – Snow, blue and Ross’s geese – into a marsh or field is one that few forget.
Take the opportunity for a great waterfowl hunt during the Light Goose Conservation Order. The dates are: East Zone, Feb. 10-April 15; Rainwater Basin Zone, Feb. 10-April 5 and West Zone, Feb. 10-April 5.

Learn about Nebraska's big game management
Want to learn more about Nebraska’s deer, elk and antelope and how they are managed? Nebraska Game and Parks biologists met with hunters and landowners to discuss big game harvest results from the past year, as well as season structure during a virtual meeting on Jan. 12.
Attendees were invited to offer feedback and ask questions on topics such as big game management, permits, antlerless harvest and more. A recording of the meeting is now available to view on YouTube.
