As every parent knows, we can’t help but worry about all of the dangers out there in world every time our kids leave the house. It is our duty to protect and guide them. 
 
But in today’s day and age, the fact is they need not step one foot out the door... 
 
The online threats to kids are real and the horror stories are endless. From sick predators targeting kids to cyberbullying to videos promoting self-harm and risky behavior, I cannot think of one good reason why young children should have any access to social media.  
 
I’m proud to be leading the charge to get the Kids Off Social Media Act passed by Congress and signed into law by President Trump.  
 
This legislation would set the social media minimum age to 13, and it would make it illegal for Big Tech to use algorithms to feed anyone under 17 addictive content. 
 
I’d like to know what you think: Do you believe we need to protect kids from social media?

This is not a partisan issue. I’m standing alongside Republican and Democrat cosponsors to get this done, and I’m confident we can move swiftly.

So many families across America, our family, friends, neighbors, colleagues, and others, have suffered due to Big Tech’s failure to take responsibility for its products. This legislation will empower families in crisis and empower teachers to get control of their classrooms.
