WHAT: This event will bring together policymakers, educators, researchers, and individuals with lived experiences of incarceration to spotlight how access to education can transform the lives of people in custody, advance equity, and enhance public safety.
Research indicates access to higher education dramatically reduces the likelihood of further crime, breaking the cycle of incarceration that disproportionately impacts Black and Brown communities.
