Donald Trump and Elon Musk are waging war on USAID, the agency that has saved millions of lives through humanitarian aid for over 60 years. Their reckless, heartless agenda is already causing global chaos—and if we don’t fight back now, the consequences will be catastrophic.
Trump has frozen all U.S. foreign aid for 90 days, cutting off critical food, medicine, and disaster relief to those who need it most. Musk, calling USAID a “criminal organization,” is leading the charge to dismantle it through his so-called “Department of Government Efficiency” (DOGE). Sixty senior USAID staff have been placed on leave, while hundreds of contractors have been fired or furloughed overnight. USAID’s website has been shut down, top security officials removed, and its headquarters locked to employees.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is overseeing a “reorganization” that will gut USAID’s budget and merge it into the State Department, stripping it of its independence. This is not about efficiency. This is about power and destruction. USAID has provided life-saving humanitarian aid, strengthened democracy, fought disease outbreaks, and countered authoritarian influence worldwide—and now Trump and Musk want to wipe it out.
