These last two weeks have felt like months with how much is happening and changing in our country.

And that’s the point: to keep us tired, anxious, fearful, hopeless and divided so we won’t stand up, speak out and fight back.

But many of the executive orders, policies and memos announced by the Trump administration over the past two weeks—some of which were illegal or unconstitutional and many straight from the pages of Project 2025—can and will have wide-ranging, life-changing consequences for working people and families. The labor movement has always been the voice of working people, and we need to hear from you.

We’re collecting stories from working people across the country who are affected by these policies (or attempted policies)—and your story matters.

For example:

If you’re a career government worker whose job may be on the line because of Schedule F reclassification, we want to hear about the work you do every day to keep our essential services running.
If you depend on Medicaid, Head Start, rent or home heating assistance, or one of the many other programs whose funding was in jeopardy this week, we want to hear your story.
If the funding for your local infrastructure or manufacturing project is on the line and good union jobs in your town are in jeopardy, we want to hear about how this will impact your community.
If immigration agents conduct a raid at your workplace, school, hospital or church, we want to know about it.
If your organizing campaign is affected by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) being effectively shut down, we want to hear more.

Back in 2017, President Trump’s allies in Congress should have had the votes to overturn the Affordable Care Act and rip health care away from millions of people. But when working people everywhere spoke out, the idea became so toxic that they couldn’t get it across the finish line.

That’s what happened last week, too: The public backlash against the announced federal funding freeze helped rescind that policy, at least temporarily.

When we stand together, anything is possible—and even in these challenging times, solidarity works. But your story is an important piece in this.
