This weekly digest is a method to communicate updates, initiatives and policy changes from the Aging and Adult Services Division (AASD) and Disability Services Division (DSD) in a simplified way. We send this announcement every week on Tuesdays.

CFSS implementation updates

• Audience: People who receive personal care assistance (PCA), Consumer Support Grant (CSG) and CFSS services, families, providers, lead agencies and other interested parties
• Summary: DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates early in the transition.

AASD messages

AC extension approved by CMS

• Audience: Lead agency staff and other interested parties
• Effective date: Feb. 1, 2025
• Summary: CMS approved a five-year extension to the Section 1115 demonstration for the AC program, effective Feb. 1, 2025, through Jan. 31, 2030.

Transitional services available under AC

• Audience: Lead agency staff and other interested parties
• Effective date: March 1, 2025
• Summary: Effective March 1, 2025, DHS will allow lead agencies to add transitional services to AC support plans and service agreements.
