Friend, the Greenwood District of Tulsa,
Oklahoma-Black Wall Street-was once a beacon of Black
excellence, bustling with businesses and homes.

On May 31, 1921, this thriving community was devastated by a violent
white mob, leading to the tragic loss of hundreds of lives and
displacing thousands. It destroyed what was the wealthiest Black
community in America, with effects that have reverberated through
generations.

It's past time to honor this history. Urge Congress to designate
Black Wall Street as a national monument.

TAKE ACTION

[link removed]

Our national monuments represent who we are, but the stories of Black
Americans have long been underrepresented in the narrative of public
and protected lands. Only three percent of National Historic Register
sites focus on their experiences.

Designating Black Wall Street as a national monument is a vital step
toward recognizing this history of resilience and strength and
preserving it for future generations.

It's past time to honor this history. Urge Congress to designate Black
Wall Street as a national monument.

Friend, please add your voice today to preserve this
critical piece of history.
