Trump Pauses Tariffs Against Mexico, Canada Amid Agreements to Help Secure Their Borders
Washington Post: In a dramatic, last-minute move, the Trump administration agreed Monday to pause sweeping tariffs on Mexico for a month while the two sides hammer out an agreement on security and trade, the U.S. and Mexican leaders announced. President Claudia Sheinbaum said on X that in a “good conversation” with President Donald Trump, Mexico committed to rushing 10,000 national guard troops to its border to try to block the flow of drugs into the United States — especially fentanyl. The United States pledged to work to avoid the illegal trafficking of weapons to Mexico, she said. Trump confirmed the agreement, saying in a post on his Truth Social platform that the deployment of Mexican troops “will be specifically designated to stop the flow of fentanyl, and illegal migrants into our Country” ( Washington Post). Reuters: Canada agreed to deploy new technology and personnel along its border with the United States and launch cooperative efforts to fight organized crime, fentanyl smuggling and money laundering ( Reuters).

Trump Orders Audit of USAID
Katie Pavlich: Last week President Donald Trump took executive action to freeze the vast majority of all foreign aid payments made through the United States Agency for International Development. Secretary of State Marco Rubio took swift action to comply. “Consistent with President Trump’s Executive Order on Reevaluating and Realigning United States Foreign Aid, Secretary Rubio has paused all U.S. foreign assistance funded by or through the State Department and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) for review. He is initiating a review of all foreign assistance programs to ensure they are efficient and consistent with U.S. foreign policy under the America First agenda,” the State Department released in a statement about the move ( Townhall). Charlie Kirk: Secretary of State Marco Rubio just absolutely RIPPED the deep state slush fund known as USAID: “I am the acting director of USAID…” “Every dollar we spend will be aligned with the national interest of the United States. USAID has a history of ignoring that and deciding that they’re a global charity. These are not donor dollars, these are taxpayer dollars” ( X). House Foreign Affairs Committee: USAID is a mess. For every dollar it spends, only 12 cents actually reach those in need—the rest gets wasted or pocketed in the Beltway. It’s time to fix our foreign aid system ( X).

Trump’s Probe Into USAID Reveal Outrageous
KanekoaTheGreat: USAID funneled $53 million to EcoHealth Alliance, which then used U.S. taxpayer funds to support gain-of-function research on coronaviruses at the Wuhan lab—research that likely led to the creation of COVID-19. The CIA’s deception regarding COVID-19 origins becomes much clearer when considering USAID’s long history of serving as a CIA front organization. With an annual budget exceeding $50 billion and activities in over 100 countries, USAID has repeatedly been linked to intelligence activities. Former USAID Director John Gilligan once admitted the agency was “infiltrated from top to bottom with CIA people,” explaining that “the idea was to plant operatives in every kind of activity we had overseas: government, volunteer, religious, every kind” ( X). Paul Szypula: Ilhan Omar supports USAID because almost $2.3 billion of our tax dollars were wasted on Somalia. Omar swore allegiance to Somalia over America. She said, “I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from within the US system.” This violates Omar’s oath to Congress and the US ( X). Persian Jewess: Dear Americans, As you realize $2.1 Billion USAID Dollars sent to Gaza and West Bank directly wound up in the bank accounts of billionaire Hamas/PA terrorists who call for Death to America… Please remember that we told you so ( X).

Collin Rugg: Gunfights have reportedly broken out in Nuevo Laredo after the arrest… Government officials are being told to “shelter in place” as shootings throughout the city escalate. Just Before Exiting Office, Biden Provided $3 Million in Military Training for Palestinian Forces Containing Terrorists
Free Beacon: The Biden administration, weeks before leaving power, funneled more than $3 million in taxpayer cash to the Palestinian Authority Security Forces (PASF). Those funds allowed the PASF to conduct “firearms and ammunition” training—and came after its members carried out scores of attacks against Israelis. The Jan. 3 funding notice outlined more than $20 million in funding for regional security projects, including those in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, Lebanon, and Jordan. Just over $3 million of these funds were earmarked for the PASF, which the United States is training to handle security operations in the war-torn Gaza Strip. As it does so, the PASF is reportedly seeking more than $680 million from the American government over the next four years. That spending—both past and, potentially, future—is drawing concerns in both Israel and Washington, D.C., given PASF’s deep and longstanding ties to terrorism carried out against Israelis. PASF members conducted more than 1,500 terror attacks against Israel in 2023—attacks that came with the Palestinian government’s backing ( Free Beacon). Daily Wire: The funds the Biden administration sent are providing “equipment and training” in Judea and Samaria for the Palestinians. The first Trump presidency froze hundreds of millions in U.S. funds for the Palestinian Authority, but the Biden administration reinstated $45 million a year in funding to the PA security services, despite the fact that internal assessments “showed that the funding could boost the Iran-backed terror group Hamas” ( Daily Wire).

20 People Killed in Car Bombing Terror Attack in Syria
BBC: At least 20 people, most of them women, have been killed in a car bomb attack in northern Syria, the country’s presidency says. The Syria Civil Defense, also known as the White Helmets, said a car filled with explosives blew up on a main road in the southern outskirts of the city of Manbij as a flat-bed lorry carrying about 30 agricultural workers drove past… The presidency vowed to ensure that the perpetrators of what it described as a “terrorist” attack would face the “most severe punishments” ( BBC). Associated Press: It was the seventh car bombing in Manbij in over a month, said Munir Mustafa, the deputy director of civil defense, warning that the attacks near Syria’s second city are a threat to Syria’s efforts to bring about post-war security and economic recovery. Manbij in northeastern Aleppo province continues to see violence two months after the fall of President Bashar Assad in an insurgent offensive ( Associated Press).

Stacey Abrams’ Nonprofit Group Undergoes More Layoffs After Massive Ethics Fine
Fox News: A nonprofit voter engagement group founded by high-profile Georgia perennial candidate Stacey Abrams reportedly suffered dozens of layoffs two weeks after facing a six-figure state ethics fine for campaign finance violations. Scores of workers at the New Georgia Project (NGP) have been laid off since Dec. 27, with a dozen more being pink-slipped at the end of January. The group describes itself as a “nonpartisan effort to register, civically engage, and build power with the New Georgia Majority… the growing population of Black, brown, young and other historically marginalized voters” ( Fox News).

Bluesky Users Threaten Doxxed DOGE Employees
HotAir: The war on DOGE has intensified. As Elon Musk and crew start tearing down the Deep State, the Deep State is striking back by calling for DOGE employees to be literally hunted by leftist activists ( HotAir). Reporter Cremieux: Here’s a handful of the many Reddit posts calling for violence and harassment against the boys from DOGE who were doxxed. This is the point of activist journalist doxxing pieces: to target people for harassment. Hope they remain safe and successful ( X). Andy Ngo: “Hunt them down.” Leftists on bluesky and other social media sites are mobilizing threats of violence against the DOGE team staff and their families as revenge against Elon Musk and the Trump administration ( X).

Biden Signs With Elite Talent Agency
New York Post: Former President Joe Biden has made his first known move to monetize his post-presidency, announcing Monday that he will be represented by Creative Artists Agency for as-yet unknown services. The talent agency deal comes after insiders speculated on how Biden and his family might make money — after reaping millions from foreign patrons and a dubious Ivy League professorship during and after his vice presidency… Biden’s precise plans remain unclear, though he used the same agency to rep him after he left the vice presidency to promote his 2017 book “Promise Me, Dad” ( New York Post). Fox Business: CAA also represents former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama ( Fox Business).
