BEAT BACK the Democratic establishment at the DNC.

On Saturday, we helped elect Ken Martin as the new Chair of the DNC,
defeating an establishment candidate backed by Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem
Jeffries, and Chuck Schumer, and bankrolled by the billionaire class and
‘liberal’ dark money groups.

This is a grassroots triumph — but we’re just getting started. This is a
foothold of power for the grassroots to press for real change. Democrats
can’t be a Party dependent on billionaires and corporate PACs. It needs to
be a True Opposition Party that can take on Trump’s Oligarchy and win
elections for working people.

Our Revolution’s DNC pressure campaign of calls to all 448 DNC voting
members and massive Citizen Action Team protest at the DNC led to this
major shift in Party leadership. We worked hard for this, and now we have
a real chance to fight for change.

We also organized to elect Jane Kleeb — an Our Revolution founding board
member and climate activist — as the next president of the Association of
State Democratic Chairs (ASDC) and Vice Chair of the Party.

Now, we finally have true insurgents at the top of the Party who can hold
Democrats accountable to working people, not billionaires and corporate
consultants.

This is a huge victory that will help us pursue our four major reforms in
the Party:

 1. Ban Dark Money in Primaries & Reject Corporate Money
 2. Invest in State Parties & Uplift Grassroots Organizing
 3. Make the DNC Budget Transparent & Hold Consultants Accountable
 4. Commit to a Working Class Platform & Small Donor Democracy

Since Bernie’s first presidential run in 2016, grassroots activists have
demanded a party that fights unapologetically for working people — and
with this leadership shift, the base has made its voice heard.

This is the first big step forward in 2025. Now, we need to get going and
push the Party to implement our reforms AND step up to be the opposition
we need to stop Trump’s Authoritarian Capitalism. Our Citizen Action Team
of 30,000 activists (and counting) are ready — but we will need resources
to carry out this urgent work.
