john —

Last week, I questioned Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at his confirmation hearing to be Secretary of Health and Human Services.

His hearing represented one of his final chances to ease concerns about his nomination — but if it wasn’t already clear before, RFK Jr. has no business being in charge of America’s health.

He demonstrated a lack of knowledge about the most basic parts of the job, like not understanding the difference between Medicare and Medicaid. He refused to answer a question about whether people who take antidepressants are dangerous. And he also reaffirmed that his confirmation would represent a grave threat to women’s health.

When asked whether he would agree that federal law protects a woman’s right to receive life-saving pregnancy care — which it does — he said he didn’t know. And he left the door open to declaring Mifepristone unsafe even though the commonly used abortion medication has been deemed safe and effective for over two decades.

I will work with anyone to deliver real progress for Minnesotans and move our country forward, but I’ll also stand up to anyone who puts them in harm's way. Will you pitch in a donation today to help me continue my work to hold Trump and his appointees accountable? [[link removed]]
