We can always count on Deb to stand with Indigenous peoples.
Did you know Deb runs races? Literally.
She started her running journey in the middle of her life and continues to run for good causes, including in the Marine Corps Marathon, Army Ten-Miler, and the Canyon De Chelly Ultra.
Back in 2021, Deb ran the Boston Marathon on Indigenous Peoples’ Day as a tribute to missing and murdered Indigenous peoples, their families, and the victims of Indian boarding schools.

At the time, Deb wrote:
“My feet will pound the ancestral homelands of the Massachusett, the Mashpee Wampanoag, and the Pawtucket people and will follow in the footsteps of Indigenous runners who have participated in this race over its 125-year history.”
We know that – no matter what – we can always count on Deb to stand up and fiercely fight for the safety and protection of Indigenous and all people from violence here in New Mexico and beyond.

Thank you!
