The February 1 Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass was livestreamed from Cardinal Burke’s private chapel in Rome. For First Saturday, His Eminence offered a Votive Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. 

Cardinal Burke began his homily reminding us of Our Lady’s appearance to the Ven. Servant of God, Sister Lucia, on December 10, 1925. “This is a special time for us who are warriors for the salvation of our world, for our own salvation through Operation Storm Heaven to be renewed in our own practice of the first Saturdays of the month. And also, to see how we might encourage others to respond to the request of Our Lady that on the five First Saturdays of the month, we 

1. receive Holy Communion on First Saturday
2. spend 15 minutes in meditation on one of the mysteries of the Holy Rosary
3. pray the Holy Rosary
4. make a good confession, either on that day itself or within eight days of the First Saturday.”

His Eminence explained why it is so important to make an act of reparation to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary:

1. For the blasphemies that are committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary – even in our own time there are those who deny the Divine Maternity of Our Blessed Mother. 
2. For those who deny that she’s truly the mother of God, the Son incarnate.  
3. For those who deny her perpetual virginity – both before the Annunciation at the time of the birth of Our Lord and after His birth. And in many other ways offend Our Lord and His Blessed Mother.

Cardinal Burke explains why the First Saturday Devotion is for the “salvation of the world”. 

“This is for a world that has gone so far away from God and for His plan for us, which in so many ways is in rebellion against the Divine Law.”

After the Holy Mass, His Eminence led us in the recitation of the most Holy Rosary.

Our March 1 Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass falls on First Saturday. Let us make a conscious effort to heed what Our Lady has asked us to do.
