Today marks one month since National Republicans took full control of Congress. And in that short time, we’ve already seen multiple attempts to restrict the right to choose in all 50 states.

Time and time again, extreme Washington politicians have tried to inject politics into personal health care decisions — despite the fact that Kansans overwhelmingly rejected an amendment to restrict abortion rights in our state.

This isn’t up for debate: The majority of Kansans — and Americans as a whole — support a woman’s right to choose.

But despite our nation’s decisive pro-choice majority, National Republicans have made restricting abortion rights their number one goal — a goal that is completely out-of-step with the priorities of the American people.

Look, hardworking families clearly want their leaders to address the cost of living crisis. But under National Republican leadership, we haven’t seen any progress on this issue! While the price of eggs has continued to skyrocket under their watch, extreme politicians like Mike Johnson are solely focused on taking our freedoms away.
