I'm Dr. Josh Green, the Governor of Hawaii.

As a physician, I saw firsthand the devastation caused by RFK Jr.’s campaign against childhood vaccinations and his spread of misinformation in Samoa.

I helped lead an emergency team of 75 nurses and doctors from Hawaii to Samoa, and saw the direct impact of RFK Jr.’s misinformation. His anti-vaccine propaganda led to a devastating and preventable measles outbreak infecting thousands and leaving 83 dead.

Thankfully, in the span of 48 hours we were able to vaccinate more than 37,000 Samoans – protecting the children of Samoa from measles and helping to end the outbreak.

RFK Jr. spread disinformation to undermine confidence in vaccinating children in Samoa. Vaccination rates plummeted and measles broke out just months later.

To this day, RFK Jr. has never taken responsibility for his actions in Samoa and is doing everything he can to hide the truth.

However, Samoans will never forget. Every hospital and clinic was at capacity and there were no ventilators to keep the children who had the worst symptoms alive. The country began to run out of child-sized coffins and ultimately, this was the worst measles outbreak in the history of the country.

RFK Jr. has no medical or public health experience and does not belong in a position of authority on public health. It’s simple – he is a danger to our country’s health – and I am making sure that Americans know about his past.
