Team — The Senate’s questioning of HHS Secretary nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over the last two days has proved that he is categorically unfit for the role. That’s not up for debate.
He flip-flopped on his dangerous past statements about vaccines, he showed a lack of basic knowledge of how Medicare and Medicaid works, and refused to own up to his past conspiracy theories around abortion, antidepressants, and more. He should be nowhere near the health care systems that hundreds of millions of people rely on.
And it looks like many Senators, including myself, are ready to vote “No” on RFK Jr.’s confirmation, but here’s the catch: A billionaire supporter of RFK Jr. and vaccine conspiracy theorist is now threatening to spend her fortune to defeat any Senators who vote No.
Let’s be clear, when we talk about oligarchy in America, when we talk about the rule of the billionaire class, this is exactly what we mean.
So here’s my message to them: You can threaten us, you can spend millions against us, but our progressive movement will always stand up for what we know is right, and we will win.
I am voting against this disastrous nominee, no matter what the billionaires have to say. If you’re with me, I’m asking for your support today as we continue to take on Trump’s far-right agenda.
Make a contribution to our campaign today and help us send a message to the billionaire class that we will not bend to their will. RFK Jr. is unqualified and unfit to lead HHS, and I will vote against his nomination. [[link removed]]
