Dear John,
I want to make sure you saw our invite to: CODEPINK Congress: From Cuba to Colombia: ¡Viva!
There’s trouble in Trump’s bully paradise.
“Latin America will not put up with Trump’s new Monroe Doctrine” and “Trump can’t bully Latin America without consequences.” This isn’t the left press speaking; this is “The Atlantic” and “Foreign Policy.”
No, Trump can’t get away with strong-arming Latin America.
Join us as we discuss hopeful signs of resistance in Mexico, where progressive Claudia Sheinbaum–academic, engineer, Nobel Prize winner–won the Presidency by a landslide and isurging Google to rename the United States “América Mexicana” after Google obeyed Trump's edict to rename the "Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America."
We’ll talk about Mexico and Colombia’s response to Trump’s deportations, the imperial military bases Trump inherited from Biden and predecessors, and Trump’s outrageous plan to deport 30,000 refugees from US foreign policy to prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Take Action!
Tell Google: Keep the Gulf of Mexico’s name intact on all versions of Google Maps!
Trump wants to erase history and grow the US empire by renaming the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America,” and Google Maps is going along with it. This isn’t just another Trump headline to laugh at. It’s a billionaire-fueled power grab that advances a racist, nationalist agenda of domination and imperialism.
Google must refuse to be a tool of US economic and territorial dominance. Demand that it keeps the Gulf of Mexico’s rightful name intact on all versions of Google Maps!
