ICAN is the civil society coordinator for this meeting, which means
we are responsible for making sure everything and everyone is in
place for this meeting to be a success. Civil society and
communities impacted by nuclear weapons have played a major role in
the treaty since its inception and helped write its key provisions -
to prohibit all activities related to nuclear weapons, to provide
victim assistance and environmental remediation. Our strong
engagement, expertise and advocacy are part of the treaty's
strength!
To do this right, we need funds for powerful events and tools that
facilitate the participation of impacted communities, scientists,
experts and civil society organisations. We need to make sure this
meeting resonates beyond the halls of the UN and puts pressure on the
governments and companies that are complicit in nuclear weapons. Individual donations from generous
supporters like you help us make all of our work possible.
With just one month to go, will you pitch in to strengthen
our work during Nuclear Ban Week?
