PFLAG Connects: Communities February Meetings

The PFLAG Connects: Communities program from PFLAG National provides a safe, virtual, moderated space where people with shared experiences can connect each month. PFLAG National’s current communities gather people of Latino, Black/African American, Asian American and Pacific Islander backgrounds—as well as families with gender-diverse loved ones, grandparents, and dads—to gain support, ask questions, and learn from others who have been through similar experiences.

We also host a Military Community meeting, in partnership with our friends at the Modern Military Association of America (MMAA).

Black History Month

In solidarity with—and in celebration of—our Black LGBTQ+ loved ones, we’re taking the time this Black History Month to uplift the lives and legacies of queer Black changemakers both past and present. Our collective strength as marginalized communities with shared histories and overlapping identities deserves to be celebrated, and we hope that by sharing these stories, their lives can continue to be an inspiration to us all.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky, LinkedIn, and Threads to learn more about these powerful leaders all month long.

Trump Administration Executive Orders: Explainers and Resources

There is no escaping the realities of what has been taking place in the federal government since January 20, 2025, especially regarding the far-reaching Executive Orders (EOs) that are still coming fast and furious. It’s important to remember that few EOs can change policy immediately, nor can they immediately change regulations nor the law as established through statutes and the courts; litigation is sure to follow and, in some cases, is already being prepared. Remember: Your validity is not dictated by an Executive Order.

That said, it's also important to have accurate information at your fingers tips. Visit our Executive Orders page to learn more about the EOs to date, sorted by topic, including helpful explainers from our many legal and policy partners on the frontlines of this work plus trusted resources to support your advocacy and messaging efforts around them.

Share Your Story!

We want to hear your ally stories—and share them in the fifth edition of The Guide to Being an Ally to LGBTQ+ People (formerly the guide to being a straight ally). Are you someone who is LGBTQ+ who has allies that have made a difference in your life? Are you an active and engaged ally to people who are LGBTQ? Are you the parent or family member of an LGBTQ+ person? We want to hear from you!

By sharing your personal stories of allyship, you will make a transformative difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ people, and help positively change the conversation about LGBTQ+ experiences.

Ready to share? Tell us your story. The deadline to share is Friday, February 14th.
