It has been two weeks since an open misogynist was inaugurated as the next President of the United States, and we are staying prepared to defend women throughout his term in office.

In the days since he was sworn in, Trump became the only sitting president in history to attend the National March For Life in D.C. and countless male GOP Senators in congress have taken it upon themselves to draft and/or sponsor draconian legislation meant to severely limit women’s access to reproductive healthcare: Sen. Josh Hawley (MO), Sen. John Thune (SD), Sen. James Lankford (OK) and many more…

Not only that, we’ve heard the way Trump and his coalition talk about women. Starting with phrases like “grab her by the pu**y” and, most recently, referring to any accomplished woman in power as a “DEI hire.”

We are already laying the groundwork to ensure that NO qualified women candidates get left behind – especially those running for office in red/abortion-ban states. Too often, red states don’t have the infrastructure or support systems in place to help pro-choice women win, and we’ve seen how the laws in those states reflect that fact.

Women across the country should not be pleading with male politicians to take the time to understand our healthcare needs or to allow us to make decisions about our bodies.

Women across the country should not be worried about our rights being taken away or needlessly dying due to pregnancy complications.

We deserve better, and that is what we are fighting for.

2025 will be a year that tests us, and we must show up to the fight. By electing pro-choice, pro-WOMEN women to positions across the nation, we can ensure the people making laws about our bodies are well-equipped to do so. Every seat – at every level – counts.
