You might have missed it, folks, but last week in the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Mark Warner questioned Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence.
And I have to say, he did a stellar job – but before I dive into the details, I’m asking if you can pitch in anything you can, split between Mark’s re-election campaign and my Common Ground PAC, to let him know how much we appreciate his work in Washington getting the truth from Trump’s nominees [[link removed]] .
In the hearing, Mark talked a lot about trust.
He said there’s no legal requirement for allies to share intel with us – it’s all predicated on trust – trust that our allies will protect each other’s secrets.
He pointed out that Gabbard has repeatedly excused our adversaries for their worst actions and instead blamed them on the U.S. and those very allies. Mark begs an important question: Can Gabbard develop the trust necessary to give our allies confidence that they can share their intelligence? Because if they stop, our country will be less safe.
Now, I’m not on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence so I didn’t question Gabbard.
But you know that I would never vote to confirm someone that the American people can’t trust. And what I know is that you can trust Senator Warner to always have the best interests of all Virginians and Americans at heart.
Mark is on the ballot in 2026, and I know it would mean a lot to him if you showed support for his re-election campaign. Will you split a $5 donation today? [[link removed]]
Much appreciated,
