For the past 13 days, Trump has unleashed a firestorm, moving at breakneck speed — surrounded by Elon Musk and the rest of his billionaire buddies. 

He’s flooding the zone: mass government purges, nonstop Executive Orders, and blatant attempts to subvert The Constitution and slash critical spending – all with an eye towards massive new tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy on the backs of working people. 

We’re witnessing the dismantling of our democracy, plain and simple. And in its place, Trump and Musk are methodically installing an oligarchy – a government run by billionaires for the billionaires. A system rigged in favor of the wealthiest and most powerful men on earth at the expense of everyone else.

Our Revolution has been shouting it from the rooftops every single chance we get, so it’s likely none of this is news to you. But after watching one attack after the next unfold this week, the Democratic party – and the rest of the country – is starting to wake up to what is happening before our very eyes. 

And it's about time because one thing is clear: Trump, Musk, Big Tech, and Big Oil’s corporate takeover is well underway. And it’s going to take ALL of us, standing up and working together, to stop them. 

The good news is that Our Revolution has been preparing and mobilizing to lead the way. We’re building a massive Citizen Action Team ready to work with allies to raise absolute hell when Trump and Musk go too far – organizing nationwide protests, unleashing powerful lobbying pushes aimed at members of Congress, and getting our message directly in front of the media to sound the alarm. 

It’s working. Thanks to outcry from all of us, Trump and Musk already had to rescind this week’s spending freeze. It’s a sign that we can fight back and win, but NOW is the time to double down.

It was clear on day one what was happening: 

Trump seated billionaire tech giants center stage at the inauguration — in front of his own cabinet members! And since then, Musk has become our shadow president, installing his cronies to help slash the federal workforce and scare anyone who remains into submission. The goal is clear – remake the government to serve corporate interests over the public good.

Trump began laying the groundwork for this takeover LONG before inauguration. He saw an opening as Big Tech’s need for vast energy supplies to fuel AI and crypto aligned with Big Oil’s push for unrestrained fossil fuel production. And so he courted billion-dollar campaign pledges from fossil fuel and tech giants — in exchange for promises to slash taxes and regulations. 

On Day 1, he started delivering benefits to this unholy alliance, revoking environmental protections and expanding oil and gas drilling. Trump has now set out to gut the social programs that people have worked their whole lives to earn, all so he can slash more taxes for his billionaire backers. And he has 1,449 days left in his presidency to keep this grift going. 

To stop Trump and the worst of his agenda, we need to raise hell. But we must also provide an alternative vision for the country. NOW is the moment for us to present a unified opposition to Trump and his oligarchs. Every day we are growing our Citizen Action Team of 30,000 activists (and counting), planning protests, connecting the dots for the media, and creating a collective, organized front.
