John, we won this battle, but the war against Project 2025 is still on. Here’s what happened this past week:
First, the Trump Administration announced a complete freeze on federal loans and grants, which halted funding for housing assistance, food stamps, and healthcare.
Then, Trump shut down the Medicaid portal for states across the country, including Florida, where 3.8 million people rely on Medicaid coverage.
And now, we’ve won, but it won’t last forever. Our public pressure and outrage forced the White House to rescind this illegal attack on poor and working class Americans. But they’ll try it again, and we’ll make sure they fail.
As long as I’m in Congress, I’ll do everything in my power to fight back against Trump’s attacks on working Americans. But we also need to be organizing on the ground every single day, and I can’t keep my field program funded without your help.
